Changsha county government portal website won three awards in the recommendation and comprehensive influence assessment of 2014 outstanding government platforms on Dec 19, 2014, becoming a leading platform among all Chinese government websites.

The three honors are: the third prize for "the leading awards of Chinese government websites in 2014", the second prize for "the leading awards of Chinese government foreign language websites in 2014", and the seventh prize of the 2014 creative-management government platform awards.

ceirp.cn recently released a recommendation and comprehensive influence assessment of Chinese outstanding government platforms in 2014, with the support of chinaso.com, chinadaily.com.cn, and others.

The government websites are assessed for eight criteria, covering the most influential, gelivable, and popular Party and government websites, the most influential new media, special columns of central government websites, innovative government platforms and smart cities with best management and practice.

According to a principal of Changsha county's e-government office, they have promoted the optimization and upgrade of the county government portal website this year, including the classification and integration of many home page contents, and an increase in a series of new columns such as key services and new technology applications.

In addition, the office developed a responsibility system for the government mailbox and attained remarkable achievements. With a timely-response from most of the departments, and great importance attached by relevant officials, the mailbox has played an important role in solving some difficult problems that local residents put foward.

Altogether 2,367 mails had been received in the mailbox as of November, 2014, and the response rate reached 98.56 percent.
