From April 23 to May 30, the large-scale international event will see 42 art troupes and 104 bands from 25 countries and regions perform more than 100 indoor shows and 50 outdoor galas.

The festival opens with a performance by dancers from the National Ballet of China, including Ma Xiaodong and Wang Ye, and American Ballet Theater principal dancer Isabella Boylston and Boston Ballet principal dancer Paulo Arrais.

This year, the Brigham Young University Singers will perform in China for the first time on April 29 at Tsinghua University and on April 30 at Beihang University.

The choir will perform a variety of pieces, ranging from classical, folk to Broadway music in its concerts, Music of the Masters.

Other art troupes from the US will include the Georgia Boy Choir, the William and Mary Wind Ensemble and the Richmond Ballet.

Isao Tomita, a pioneering Japanese electronic music artist, is one of the headliners of the festival. The 82-year-old composer, who was born in Tokyo and spent his early childhood with his father in China, will bring his Symphony Ihatov to his "second hometown" on May 20 at the Century Theater.
