A trilobite fossil was found in Youyang Tujia and Miao autonomous county in China's Chongqing city on Saturday.

The fossil was unearthed in Maoba village in the county, with clear insect-like figures on them. The outline of the insects are 70cm long and 3cm wide. The cirri patterns around their head are very well preserved. The local administration of cultural relics confirmed that the rock is a trilobite fossil, which is of high scientific value and can date back hundreds of millions of years.
