Zhangying Art Gallery was inaugurated at the Xianying Temple in Shijingshan district of Beijing on Dec 31, 2015.

The art gallery displays nearly 300 pieces of artistic works donated by artist Zhangying to Shijingshan district government, including wood knot carving, calligraphy, oil painting, and traditional Chinese painting.

Among them, the most valuable works are the wood knot carvings. Named by Chinese Artists Association in 1988, wood knot carving is a brand new sort of sculpture.

Zhang has created many wood knot carvings with different shapes, like figures, animals, and plants. His works can not only bring people artistic enjoyment but also raise people's awareness on environmental protection.
