Chinese artists will translate traditional aesthetics into the context of contemporary art by  combining acoustic and visual art forms, at the weeklong Chinese New Year events in February in New York City.

The annual Happy Chinese New Year, Fantastic Art China series events, organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, not only celebrates Chinese traditions with the multi-ethnic communities in New York. Also it introduces the dynamics of Chinese contemporary art by gathering together well-established and emerging artists.

The upcoming program for 2016 includes a public art exhibition that will team up Tan Dun, Pan Gongkai and Su Xinping, to name a few. The lighting show of the Empire State Building and the firework show at the Hudson River will continue to light up the night of Big Apple during the Chinese celebration of the Year of Monkey.

The creativity fair held at early this year’s events will be extended to be an international art expo, where visitors can see and purchase the latest creativity products by Chinese designers.

The events will be held from Feb 6-14. People can be updated with the progress by visiting
