Minyoun to launch high-end Sichuan property
A hotel group in China has announced it will launch a high-end outlet in Southwest China's Sichuan province to seize the opportunities generated by an increasing number of tourists.
Minyoun Hospitality announced it has signed an agreement to operate and manage the Galaxy Minyoun Daocheng Hotel with the Daocheng Khampa Tourism Development & Investment Co.
The high-end hotel will feature a combination of Oriental hospitality and Tibetan ethnic culture.
The hotel group has launched operations in 16 tourism and commerce destinations, including cities in China, France and Fiji. By 2018, it will operate more than 50 hotels with more than 10,000 guest rooms, said Liang Shangbing, president of the group.
The group is also increasing its cooperation with leading property developers and hotel investors and seeking opportunities for development in China and Asia at large, Liang said.
"Minyoun Hospitality has been seeking opportunities to promote its unique oriental hospitality in more high-quality destinations in China and overseas," Liang said. "The Galaxy Minyoun Daocheng Hotel will be located in Daocheng county in the Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture, which will be our 16th tourism and business destination.
"We are excited to see our brand expand to the snow-covered Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. We will strive to provide fantastic customized services and favorable living environment to our customers," Liang said.
With nine floors above ground and one below ground, the hotel has 390 rooms that feature modern facilities and the Tibetan ethnic culture.
The customers can not only enjoy delicacies at modern Western-style restaurants and bars but also relax in Tibetan teahouses and sauna rooms with traditional Chinese herbs.
With the rapid development of a transportation network that covers flights, highways and railways, Daocheng county is expected to become an important tourism destination in Sichuan province, as well as Southwest China.
Located in the Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Sichuan province, Daocheng county has spectacular mountains, vast grasslands and clear streams.
The hotel will be two hours' drive from the county's Yading Scenic Zone.
There are three sacred mountains for local Tibetans in the scenic zone, which enables tourists to enjoy the traditional Tibetan culture as well as the scenery of the snow-covered mountains.
Minyoun operates more than 10 well-known high-end and luxury hotels in a number of cities in China, including Beijing, Chengdu, Urumqi and Nanchong. It also plans to expand its operations of other services including catering and spas, Liang said.
