Bullet train a hit with foreign tourists

China welcomed more foreign tourists in 2015 and more of them preferred to travel around China by train.

Online travel service providers ChinaTravelDepot and Skyscanner jointly released an inbound tourism market report for 2015 on Friday. The report said that number of foreign tourists who booked train tickets online in 2015 jumped 4.5 times.

Zhai Yi, general manager of the online inbound tourism business department of China Youth Travel Service, said the increase came directly from the popularity of high-speed trains.
