Four killed in knife attack in primary school

A knife-wielding man committed suicide after fatally attacking three primary school students and a teacher and injuring five other students in Hubei province after his daughter was not allowed to sign up for the new semester because she didn't finish her vacation homework.

Police said Chen Yanfu entered the school at around 10:20 am saying that he was going to help his daughter enroll on the first day of school at Dongfang Primary School in Yunxi county.

A local journalist who arrived at the scene on Monday said Chen first entered one classroom and injured a student but left after he found that the teacher was male.
