President Hu's visit set to boost ties with Canada

BEIJING - President Hu Jintao will hold high level discussions with his Canadian counterparts and sign several agreements during his forthcoming visit to Canada.

Hu, who will start his official visit from June 23, would also utilize the opportunity to enhance bilateral ties. It would also mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Hu's visit to Canada is the first by a Chinese head of state in the last five years.
