Tourists target Europe after two months of cheap currency
Beijingers are snapping up trips to Europe to take advantage of a massive devaluation of the euro over the past two months.
"At least three groups set for Western Europe in June were booked out by early May. We normally only attract a single group," said Zhang Wei, general manager of the outbound tour department in China International Travel Service Ltd, head office in Beijing.
Zhang told METRO the devaluation of the euro has encouraged many Chinese travelers to opt for Europe because of huge savings.
