China's scream queen loses voice

VANCOUVER: China's world champion curlers edged closer to the Olympic Games knockout rounds on Sunday, but skipper Wang Bingyu has screamed and cajoled her team so much she has been left speechless.

"She's done. It's her throat. She couldn't speak to teammates in meetings," said China's Canadian coach, Dan Rafael.

China sit third in the table with five wins and two defeats in the 10-nation group after handing section leaders Canada their first loss in a nail-biting 6-5 victory.
