The need for speed

While there isn't actually anything particularly speedy about this place, those shopping for a new car will want to dine in at this posh restaurant/bar combo which shares a glass wall with an adjoining luxury car dealership.

Don't let the awkwardly chosen name turn you off, because the BBS Gastro Bar offers a very satisfying array of Italian-style dishes suggesting a slight Asian influence. A plate of grilled pork sausages (RMB58) and roasted corn-fed chicken (RMB65)¨Cboth of which came with appropriate side dishes¨Csatisfied completely and tasted great. Their house cocktails (RMB20-40) did not disappoint and there was also much to be thankful for in their wine selection (RMB300-1,000/bottle). While the restaurant's atmosphere was a bit staid (some background music would have helped), with such helpful and friendly service and such a sleek and classy interior, there wasn't much to be upset about.

In all, BBS is a great place for an evening aperitif and fulfilling meal. You might even end up window shopping for that sedan or coup you've always wanted.
