A classier alternative

A classier alternativePoachers, Kai, Pure Girl-just a few places where punters are advised to leave their dignity at the door before embarking on a night of cheap drinks and assorted tomfoolery.

This month Shooters wades into the foray of sweaty Sanlitun shenanigans, hoping to lure the juiced-up masses with a slightly classier alternative to the aforementioned haunts, while maintaining a price range that should appeal to the town's most tight-fisted boozehounds. Not content with serving fine Belgian beer and good pizza, the management of The Tree decided to open Shooters to cater to an entirely different crowd.

Still, the new bar is similarly laid out to its classier cousin-so much so that some of its furnishings look as though they've been plucked from the hop fields of 1920s rural Belgium. Shooters, as the name suggests, boasts a variety of, well, shooters, plus decent mixed drinks and cocktails, which, while being strong enough to get the night going, should leave your stomach lining intact.
