The clean-up work should be done quickly, with priority going to schools, main streets and large buildings, Hui said at a quake relief meeting here Thursday.

Rubble should be buried at designated sites, materials found in the ruins be sorted and undamaged building materials be recovered for use, Hui said.

More equipment and personnel should be sent to clear the roads, and damaged roads and bridges be promptly repaired, Hui said.

The meeting also stressed donations be used in line with donators' wishes. Related information should be open to public inspection and under strict supervision.
