XINING - Financial services were mostly resumed in the quake-hit Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu in northwest China's Qinghai Province, an official of the People's Bank of China (PBOC) said here on Saturday.

The email services, account management system and electronic archives' transmission of the local PBOC branch were all resumed on Friday, the official said.

Business services of the Agricultural Bank of China and the Rural Credit Cooperatives were resumed on Friday as well, he said, and most financial institutions provide services in tents or mobile vehicles.

The 7.1-magnitude quake struck Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu early Wednesday and has left 1,339 dead and 11,849 injured so far.
