Planes fly rescue teams, materials to quake-hit Qinghai

BEIJING - The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said it dispatched another 13 aircrafts Thursday to send rescuers, medical staff and relief materials to Xining, capital of quake-hit Qinghai Province.

The planes are mobilized from companies such as Air China, China Eastern, and China Southern, and take off from cities including Chengdu, Kunming and Guangzhou.

On Wednesday, three chartered airplanes dispatched by the CAAC sent more than 1,400 rescuers to the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu, the epicenter, for relief work.
