Marshal of People's Liberation Army: Zhu De

A decoration-awarding ceremony to confer the military rank of marshal of the People's Republic of China and the medals by chairman of the People's Republic of China (PRC) on those PLA officers who have rendered meritorious service to the country during the period of the Chinese People's Revolutionary War was held in Beijing's Huairentang on September 27, 1955.

Marshal of People's Liberation Army: Zhu De

Zhu De was born in Sichuan province on December 1, 1886 and passed away in Beijing on July 6, 1976.

Zhu served as commander-in-chief of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Vice-Chairman of the People's Central Government, Chinese Vice-President and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
