Dear China Daily Colleagues,

On behalf of the Foreign Press Center (FPC) and director Neil Klopfenstein, I am writing to express the FPC’s deepest condolences on the passing of China Daily’s assistant editor-in-chief Ms. Li Xing. In my capacity as the East Asia Pacific liaison I has the privilege of working with Ms. Li Xing on the "100,000 Strong" reporting tour and I was extremely impressed by the story that she and her colleague were able to generate. Ms. Li Xing’s passion was evident during this tour and what most impressed me was her ability to make anyone she talked to feel as if they were the most important person in the room. Ms. Li Xing was truly a remarkable journalist and she will be missed. Please know that the Foreign Press Center holds Ms. Li Xing’s family and the entire staff of China Daily in our thoughts during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Neil Klopfenstein                      Andrea Corey
