8 killed, 7 missing due to heavy rainfall in China
BEIJING - Eight people died and seven remain missing after heavy rain hit parts of southwest and central China from Friday, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said Monday.
As of Monday 9 am, storms have forced the evacuation of nearly 6,700 people in Chongqing Municipality and the provinces of Henan, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Shaanxi, the ministry said.
