In a bid to lure China's best and brightest, universities are presenting specially-designed admission letters, the Chengdu Economic Daily reported.

Northwestern Polytechnical University: the first AR letter in China

Northwestern Polytechnical University has embedded Augmented Reality technology into its admission letter, the first of its kind in China.

Potential students scan a QR code on the letter and a virtual campus platform appears on screen, displaying the academic disciplines and history and development of the university.
