Chinese president appoints new ambassadors
BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed three new ambassadors, upon approval of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature on Monday.
Xue Bing was appointed China's ambassador to Papua New Guinea, replacing Li Ruiyou.
Wang Baodong was appointed China's ambassador to Tonga, replacing Huang Huaguang.
Tang Heng was appointed China's ambassador to Costa Rica, replacing Song Yanbin.
