FISE World Series will be in Chengdu from Friday to Sunday
Sports fans who will visit the Nanhu Park in Chengdu, capital of China's Sichuan province, from October 28 to 30 will have a pleasant surprise as the FISE (Festival International of Extreme Sports) World Series will make the city its only stop in China.
The event will draw in athletes from Australia, Britain, Belgium, China, Croatia, France, Portugal, Russia, Spain and Thailand.
Many of the world's top athletes in mountain biking and skateboarding will compete in the picturesque park that includes a lush tropical forest and a transparent lake.
"After four global stops in Montpellier, France, Osijek in Croatia, Denver in the United States and Edmonton in Canada this year, the FISE World Series will be in Chengdu from Friday to Sunday," said Danny Zhang, Media and Marketing Director of FISE World Series.
"Friday, Saturday and Sunday will witness the preliminary, semifinals and finals for mountain bike slopestyle, BMX flat show and freestyle, roller freestyle and skateboarding respectively," he said.
Honor, the No 1 sponsor of 2016 FISE World Series, together with FISE will make the three-day event a sports carnival not like any other sports event. The Honor Café will distribute popular Honor products -- Honor V8, Honor 8 and Honor 6X, and provide the audience with space to hang out with friends and experience advanced smartphone technology.
The FISE World Series debuted in Montpellier in 1997. It had been held exclusively in the city for 17 years when its Chinese sister city of Chengdu hosted the event for the first time in 2014.
