Every day last year, nearly 100,000 doctors provided advisory services to patients across China through chunyuyisheng.com, one of China's largest online medical service providers, according to a report released by the company on Wednesday.

The number of chunyuyisheng.com's registered users reached 92 million by the end of last year, and the number of doctors registered reached nearly half a million, according to the report.

Last year, doctors on the platform provided about 60 million advisory services to patients, and on average a patient could get a response within three minutes, Wang Jianguo, deputy CEO of the company, said.

Most doctors providing services on chunyuyisheng.com were between 25 and 45, and they come from all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China. Most of them were from big public hospitals, according to Wang.

Zhang Rui, CEO of the company, said online medical advisory services can ease the shortage of medical services from brick-and-mortar hospitals in China, and the sector is expected to develop quickly in the future with increasing demand and more favorable policies from the government.
