The 2016 China Shenyang International Aviation Expo will be held at the Faku Caihu Airport in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, from Aug 25 to 28, organizers announced on Tuesday.
More than 30 types of fixed-wing planes and helicopters will be on display at the event, which is being organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shenyang city government, AVIC Helicopters and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China.
As the largest air show in China's northeast, the expo will feature aerobatic performances and opportunities for aviation fans to enjoy free flights on some aircraft, Zhang Guoxiang, deputy secretary-general of the Shenyang city government, told reporters at a news conference.
He said that nearly 500 aviation companies will take part in this year's expo, which will highlight civil aviation's role in medical emergency response.
