3 . What do you expect from the cooperation between China and Russia in the coming year

Andrey Denisov: It's obvious that in 2015 the two countries will maintain close Sino-Russian relations and our comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation. The countries are enriched by the agreements made in the past years, and practical results of cooperation benefit both the countries and the people.

From the political aspect, China and Russia are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. During the celebration there will be some activities, including a meeting of the two leaders.

For the year  2015, we expect first and foremost a major breakthrough in the field of economic cooperation between the two countries. In order to achieve such a breakthrough, there are some serous objective prerequisites: China, the world production center owning a large sum of foreign exchange assets, and Russia, the power with the world's largest natural resources, have established advantages on scientific research and made breakthroughs over industrial technology. The two countries have obvious complements, and we have great potential in the cooperation of complementary goods, industry, finance, investment and scientific technology. Now China has become the largest trading partner of Russia, and Russia has firmly taken its place among the leading trade partners of China. In 2014, despite the difficult economic situation, Sino-Russian trade came close to $100 billion, and the trade level will keep going up this year.

Also I hope everything goes on well in cooperation in the field of infrastructure construction. Here I can give a practical example, the construction of the Sino-Russian railway bridge "Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye" in Amurskaya Oblast. Also there is construction of a high-speed fast-rail from Moscow to Kazan under the construction of the two countries.

Chinaand Russia will actively develop cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and aviation. Currently, the two governments are emphasizing bilateral investment since we have established the Intergovernmental Commission on Investment Cooperation. In addition, the active Sino-Russian energy alliance is one of the most important bilateral practical cooperation. Both countries are implementing a number of major projects, and one of the most outstanding achievements was a historical natural gas contract signed in May 2014, which is estimated at $400 billion. The delivery of Russian natural gas to China is called the "Eastern Route". I hope the year 2015 will be marked by another breakthrough agreement on Russian gas supplies as the "Western Route".

Russian experts have started to discuss the possibility of bilateral cooperation under the frame of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and China's concept of the "Silk Road Economic Belt".
