No luxury in sight

Frugal style was definitely the fashion at this year's two sessions.

Some deputies or members had been seen donning luxury clothes or accessories in former years, which drew heavy criticism from the public. Unlike former years, attendees have gone frugal this year with no obvious luxury branded goods on show.

Following the strict rules of the two sessions, the attendees cannot accept dinner invitations from outside without asking for leave. Even when attending a dinner party, many deputies and members are asked to pay their portion.
