10-year Canadian visas
China and Canada agreed to grant each other's citizens multi-entry visas which could be valid for a decade. The agreement was announced on Saturday by Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi at a press conference.
The good news offers the Chinese more choices and flexibility to travel to Canada as increasing Chinese have the financial ability and need to travel around to other countries. The policy follows the US embassy which started issuing ten-year visas in the second half of 2014.
The new visa, now open for application, will require an in-person interview and cost CAD100 (RMB500) to process. The maximum stay for any one visit is 180 days.
