The People's Liberation Army (PLA) has scheduled multiple drills for the year ahead, according to a military circular issued by the PLA's General Staff Headquarters on Monday.
The cross-Area exercises will feature battle simulations, with real soldier confrontation, and will feature longer post-drill reviews so that armies involved "get to know clearly how they win or lose the battle", according to the circular.
The drills will also address the weak capacity of some commanders, according to the circular, adding that efforts will also be made to strengthen schooling, training and examination of battle commanders.
