World Contraception Day on Friday was observed in an odd fashion at a university in Southwest China's Guizhou province, according to qianzhan.com.

The university welcomed its incoming freshmen class by handling out a package with some contraception booklets and items including condoms, diaphragm and a one-hour sex education video.

Students reportedly did not appreciate the gesture, filling campus trash bins with many of the unwanted packages. According to a student, he believed a comprehenisve sex education would be of more use than the contraception package containing items students didn't even know how to use and only made them feel awkward.
