Three security guards were injured by a man at Zhongchuan Airport in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province, on Monday morning, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Two were seriously wounded after being stabbed in the head by the man at a security check shortly after 9 am.
The man was later detained and transferred to the airport police for further investigation. Normal operation of the airport was restored after the man was removed.
