First China-Africa NGO forum begins

Sahle Zewde, director general of Nairobi Office of United Nations, delivered a message on behalf of UN secretary general Ban Ki Moon. "I thank the China NGO Network for International Exchanges and the Kenya NGO Coordination Board for bringing together leaders from non-governmental organizations from China, and throughout Africa," said Zewde, as she read Moon's message. "Your experience in developing new approaches for sustainable economic progress, promoting dialogue, exchanging best practices and providing policy advice is highly valuable," she said.
