A limited number of romantic offers from an insurance company sold out in 10 minutes during Singles' Day on Monday.

Buyers of 10 available insurance policies will get 4,999 yuan ($820) honeymoon vouchers if they marry in November 2014.

The product itself costs 1,111 yuan, which reflects Nov 11, the date of Single's Day.

Sales started at midnight on the Ping An Insurance website and its flagship store located at tmall.com.

People purchasing the policy automatically receive a yearlong membership on popular matchmaking website Baihe and accident insurance with coverage of 600,000 yuan for the next 12 months.

For the honeymoon voucher, however, they must register for marriage between Nov 1 and Nov 11 next year.

A 26-year-old woman in Beijing who bought the policy said she planned to marry in October but she and her boyfriend did not mind postponing registration for a month.

"I think most of the policy buyers are pretty sure that they'll marry next year. Even if some people fail to get married during the period, the policy can still provide protection in case of accidents," said the woman, who only gave her surname as Qi.

"The voucher for a honeymoon is attractive and I can give the membership in Baihe as a gift for a single friend," she said.

Though the company was only selling 10 such policies, it also had less expensive offers.

It was selling 100 policies for 111.1 yuan, which get buyers a 500 yuan travel voucher. It also had 1,000 policies for 11.11 yuan, which will net the purchaser a 50 yuan voucher for ice cream - provided, of course, they get married.
