The first China-Gulf Cooperation Council States Forum on Sustainable Development will be held in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, on Dec 11 and 12.
The high-level forum is jointly sponsored by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Secretariat General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, also known as Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The forum's theme is "Cement the traditional friendship, Deepen all-around cooperation and Promote sustainable development" and will be attended by Wang Zhizhen, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, secretary general of GCC.
Some high-level officials of GCC states and representatives of companies and organizations from China and GCC states will exchange views on many issues during the bilateral dialogue and discussion.
GCC comprises six Arab member states in the Gulf: United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.
