The third Art and Science International Exhibition and Symposium held its opening ceremony on Nov 1 at the China Science and Technology Museum.
The event, co-hosted by Tsinghua University and China Science and Technology Museum, will present 112 exhibits from 22 countries and regions.
The exhibition, which explores the relationship between art and science, was founded by the physicist Tsung-dao Lee and the late art master Wu Guanzhong and was previously held in 2001 and 2006.
The theme this year is information, ecology and wisdom, and explores cutting edge ideas and presentations in art and science, in formats including new media, product design, architectural and environmental design, and visual design.
The event will also present a series of seminars related to information, ecology and wisdom. All participating artists and scientists will give speeches at the seminars, at Tsinghua University on Nov 2 and 3.
The exhibition will last until Nov 30.
