GUANGZHOU - A woman was injured after setting herself on fire at a gas station on Saturday in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, police said.
The woman surnamed Chen, 28, rushed to a gas station at Sanyuanli Road, Baiyun District, and set herself on fire with a lighter at 5 am, said a written statement issued by the public security bureau of the district.
Chen was stopped by the station workers and sent to local hospital. Her injury was not life threatening, the statement said.
Her motive was yet to be known, and the incident is under investigation.
