BEIJING - The Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee approved a decision on Sunday to convene the Fifth Session of the 11th National Committee of the CPPCC.
In its three-day meeting that starts on Sunday, the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee will deliberate and vote on issues including the timetable and the draft agenda of the upcoming annual session.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the opening meeting on Sunday.
The Fifth Session of the 11th CPPCC National Committee, China's national advisory body, will open on March 3.
