HK Secretary for Justice visits Beijing

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong's Secretary for Justice Wong Yan-lung headed to Beijing on Wednesday for a three-day visit.

He will exchange views with relevant officials on issues such as the further promotion of Hong Kong's legal and arbitration services in the Chinese mainland, including the development of such services in Qianhai in Shenzhen, and the enhancement of mutual legal assistance in civil and commercial cases and matters in relation to the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement.

During his stay in Beijing, he will visit a number of authorities, including the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Legislative Affairs Office and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the National Reform and Development Commission, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.

Wong will return to Hong Kong on Friday.
