BEIJING - A cold front will sweep north and northeast China over the next three days and bring rains and temperature drop, Tuesday's weather forecast said.

Temperatures will drop by up to eight degrees Celsius in most parts of those regions, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) said.

The northern part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northeastern areas of Inner Mongolia, northern part of China's Northeast region will see force 4 to 6 wind in the coming three days.

Heavy rains will hit Leizhou Peninsula and Hainan Province where heavy rain has pounded for four days and the average precipitation has exceeded 200 mm in most parts, according to the local weather bureau.

The cold front will bring rains and snow to the eastern and southern part of Qinghai Province, eastern area of Tibet, northeastern part of Inner Mongolia and northwestern part of Heilongjiang Province.

The CMA also reminds people in those regions to take precautions against sandstorm and frost.
