All Yushu students to return to school next week

Yushu - All students in quake-ravaged Yushu, Qinghai province are expected to return to school in the coming week, a Chinese military official said today.

“As of now, the Chinese military has donated 150 tents, 1,580 chairs and desks and 1,000 sets of school bags and stationery,” Major General Li Jun said. “A11 camp schools have been set up so far.

“We will further donate 633 tents… and make sure that all the 20 schools will resume class before May 1,” he said.

Of the 20 schools in Yushu, one is a college, three are middle schools and 16 are primary schools, Li added.
