7 arrested over building collapse in Shanghai

The local prosecutor's office in Shanghai's Minhang district arrested seven people believed responsible for the June 27 collapse of a building under construction in the city, the Xinhua new agency reported today. The incident killed one worker.

Zhang Zhiqin, board chairman of Shanghai Meidu Real Estate Development, which was developing a housing complex where the building collapsed, was also among those arrested.
