With modern facilities and an easier visa application process, Chinese tourists can get their visas faster from the Mexican embassy in Beijing and the consulates in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

"Even tourist is eligible to apply for a visa to Mexico right now," an official from a Mexican tourist agency said. Previously Chinese tour operators were only allowed to apply for visas when they had the minimum of 10 tourists.

Mexico, a popular tourism destination, attracts over 10 million of tourists from all over the world every year for its stunning natural sceneries and mysterious archaeological sites, the Mayan civilization.

Cancun, the largest resort destination in Mexico, is a paradise for tourists. Here leisure visitors can get almost everything they wish for, from soft sand beaches, to diving, Mayan sites, spas, fine dining and shopping.

In the morning, tourists can go to dive in the world’s second-largest coral reefs and they walk into the prehistoric era through the Mayan pyramids in the afternoon. Then they can experience a relaxing spa treatment, guaranteeing a deep and sweet sleep.

Chinese tour groups and individual tourists can fly direct to Mexico from Shanghai every Thursday. The route opened last year and is the only direct flight from China to a country in Latin America.
