Traffic accident kills six, injures 27 in C. China

CHANGSHA -- Six people died and 27 others were injured after a bus overturned at a highway toll station in central China's Hunan Province, local traffic police said.

The accident occurred at around 7:15 p.m. Friday near the Donglaiwan toll station in Loudi City, when the bus failed to avoid rushing in a truck-van collision site, the Loudi traffic police said.

Four passengers on board the bus were killed at the spot. Two seriously injured passengers died in hospital.

Twenty-seven other bus passengers were sent to several hospitals in Loudi for treatment.

The cause of the accident was still being investigated.
