8,152 makeshift shelters built in quake-hit areas

Workers build makeshift shelters for quake survivors at a temporary resettlement zone in Dujiangyan City of southwest China's Sichuan province May 27, 2008. As of May 26, a total of 8,152 makeshift shelters were built in quake-affected areas. About 7,263 of them were set up by Sichuan Province, 712 under the assistance of other provinces and 177 by community donations.[Xinhua]
