The Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone threw open its doors to tourists on Sunday.

The plant will allow 300 people to tour its facilities every day, with a quota set at 10,000 visitors per year to ensure its safe operation.

Visitors can see the plant's exhibition halls and get a guided introduction to the facility and its operation during the one-and-a-half-hour tour.

It is the first time the plant has opened to the public, and many locals and tourists have already booked tours.
