Nov 21, 1949: Beijing government decides to close all brothels

On November 21, 1946, The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting in Yan'an. The Committee decided to use the "Down with Chiang Kai-shek" policy to solve the domestic problem. It marks the beginning of the War of Liberation.

On November 21, 1949, Beijing government decided to close all brothels.

From November 21 to December 10, 1958, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held the Enlarged Session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee (November 21-27, 1958) and the Sixth Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Party (November 28-December 10, 1958) in Wuchang. The enlarged session of the Political Bureau discussed the draft plan for 1959. The Sixth Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Party discussed and adopted a resolution about the People's Communes and agreed to Mao Zedong's proposal to not continue as the next chairman of the People's Republic of China.

On November 21, 1962, the Chinese government reaffirmed in a statement that the Sino-Indian border issue must be resolved through negotiations and announced that Chinese troops would ceasefire from 0:00 November 22, 1962.

On November 21, 1998, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a notice to carry out the "three emphasizes" education. From November 1998, all the cadres above the county level were required to carry out the "three emphasizes" education in stages. The main purpose of the education was to "stress theoretical study, political awareness and good conduct".

On November 21, 1998, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council jointly issued the rules on the implementation of the responsibility system of construction of a clean and honest administration.
