Sept 9, 1927: Mao Zedong launched the Autumn Harvest Uprising in Hunan-Jiangxi border area.

Sept 9, 1935: Zhang Guotao ordered Chen Changhao, political commissar of the right army, to go down the south to "carry out a thorough struggle within the party".

Sept 9, 1951: The CPC Central Committee held the first meeting of Agricultural Co-Operative.

Sept 9, 1965: The Tibet Autonomous Region was formally established.

Sept 9, 1976: Mao Zedong died at the age of 83. Mao was praised as the main founder of the Communist Party of China, People's Liberation Army, People's Republic of China and the great leader of people of all nationalities.
