Sharon Stone pays sum to man injured on property

Sharon Stone has been ordered to pay $232,000 to a man who was injured on her property.

Peter Krause  - who had been seeking up to $1.5 million for the claim - said he injured his knee after slipping and falling through a piece of the 'Basic Instinct' star's fence when he was carrying out work on her estate in 2006.

Sharon was found guilty of negligence at the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday (13.07.11).

But Sharon's lawyer Jerry Popovich was "disappointed" with the jury's verdict, which it reached after deciding the actress' fence was not sturdy enough to prevent Peter's fall.

Speaking outside court, he told reporters: "We're disappointed they did not take her testimony at face value."Peter sued Sharon in 2008 after claiming the injury had limited his employment opportunities.
