Experts consider the future of cyberspace

By Cao Yin and Su Zhou (China Daily) Updated: 2015-12-18 10:53

A1 The most important problem currently in China is how to balance the relationship between cybersecurity and the development of the Internet. If the two parts cannot be tackled competently, security risks will increase with the fast pace of online developments.

A2 To reach a balance, we should make Internet development a priority, while ensuring cyberspace safety by improving cybertechnology. If we can balance them well, I believe the problem will be solved.

A3 Our country has always been responsible in handling cyberspace, and our governance is rooted in an open, peaceful and safe approach. We are not like some countries that frequently blame others, but were themselves attackers. We hope to quickly create international rules in governing cyberspace. Only when we have the rules, can every country protect its own cyberspace interests and improve its own Internet development.

A4 The future of cyberspace, in my mind, is a place that has much stronger security and where the Internet economy is more developed. What I am looking forward to seeing is cyberspace that's balanced between security and development.
