Airbus CEO Tom Enders acknowledged on Feb 13 that cracks on the wings of A380 planes are the responsibility of the company, and promised they would be repaired soon, Beijing Times reported Tuesday.

As early as November 2010, Qantas Airways Ltd found oil leaks in A380 engines, which led to a mid-air disintegration of the engine and an emergency landing. Following the incident, other airlines also identified cracks appearing on the wings of the A380, the report said.

According to Enders, the engine glitches have been solved by UK-based Rolls-Royce Company and the cracks will be repaired by Airbus soon. "We will fix it (the crack problem) as quickly as possible and whatever it costs," Enders said.
