A draft guideline for the development of China's strategic emerging industries in the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) period has been completed and is awaiting approval from the State Council, the China Securities Journal reported on Friday.
The guideline includes improving export regulations, protecting intellectual property and giving financial support to emerging industries, such as new energy, bio-pharmacy, and transportation.
The guideline also bolsters 100 companies to cultivate their overseas sales networks and build 200 export bases, and some companies have already signed cooperation agreements with foreign countries.
Analysts said the guideline will help some Chinese companies in emerging industries become more competitive in the global market.
